
Step 3 - Wrap the tape around the Teflon sheet as shown in figures 3 &4 below.
It is best if the tape overlaps itself,
but it does not have to be perfect. Note how the tape is wrapped in the same direction as the Teflon sheet
and the transfer.
The tape wrap does not need to be perfect, but it should completely cover the area where the transfer will be. You should also smooth down the imperfections in the tape wrap and inspect the ends of the cylinder to insure that the transfer has laid down onto the cylinder. You only need to cover the area that you intend to transfer onto the cylinder with tape.
Step 4 - Preheat a convection oven to 400 degrees F. Heat the cylinder for 6 to
8 minutes. The cylinders seem
fairly forgiving, a little more or less
time does not seem to affect the results. If you are doing them in a
regular kitchen
oven I would heat them for 9-10 minutes and rotate them
after 5 minutes. The transfer is usually complete when
the tape and transfer
start to brown a little.
